The EpilepsieLoop is the national run of EpilepsieNL, with Amersfoort as its main location. There are three distances: 5, 10 and 16 kilometres. What sets the event apart is that it starts from several places at once and that participants may take part from home if need be — a setup that follows from the fact that epilepsy can restrict daily life considerably and not everyone can simply travel to a start. Anyone who does not yet run can sign up for coaching and build up in stages to seventy-five minutes of continuous running. The proceeds go to research into epilepsy.
