Engstraatjogging Meerhout is an evening village run with start and finish on the athletics track of the municipal Sportcentrum on Sportlaan. The course heads through the woods of the Kleine and Grote Engstraat and is flat, with roughly three quarters on unpaved roads. The main run starts at 19:30 and offers 4, 8 and 12 kilometres, giving both shorter-distance and longer-distance runners a suitable option. Children have their own Kinderjogging earlier in the evening, with four distances. The event is organised by three Meerhout clubs in cooperation with the sports council and the local authority, giving the race a clearly local and welcoming character.
