This edition has already happenedSee upcoming races nearbyThe Egmontloop is the town race of Zottegem, starting and finishing on the Stationsplein in the middle of the centre. The course winds through the town centre, where the funfair stands during the same weekend, so race and festivities run into one another. Participants choose how far they go themselves: the race is run in laps, from a short 2.5 kilometres up to a maximum of 10 kilometres. For children there are separate kids runs over 200, 400 and 800 metres, divided by age group. The first five hundred entrants receive an official Egmont medal after finishing. Entry is possible online in advance or on site up to shortly before the start. Zottegem Atletiek organises the race.
