EcoSwimRun Bütgenbach is a swimrun on the lake of Bütgenbach, based at Worriken. Running and swimming alternate in one continuous race: you enter and leave the water with your gear on, without a transition zone. There is a short and a long loop, each available solo or as a pair, and you can take part from the age of sixteen. The entry fee covers more than most — insurance for anyone without a licence, a key deposit, hot showers, and full safety cover on and beside the water with a boat, canoe, first-aid post and doctor. If you come from running or triathlon, this is the most direct introduction to the discipline you will find.
