The DTS Amsterdamse Bos is the Dutch Triathlon Series race in the Amsterdamse Bos. The swim is at the Grote Speelweide, in laps of 750 metres: one for the sprint, two for the olympic distance. The bike course is a loop of 8 kilometres on cycle paths fully closed to other traffic — three laps or five, depending on your distance — and the run then goes through the wood itself. Because the course is built from laps, you keep sight of the rest of the field and the start-finish area stays the centre of the day. The race has moved into the middle of the wood for as long as the Bosbaan is being rebuilt.
