Droeshout-Stad Run is a summer village run in Droeshout, near Opwijk, with the start and finish at the parish hall by the church. The programme combines kids' runs with a 5 km jog, nature runs of 10 and 16 km and a half marathon. That gives young participants, recreational runners and endurance runners a suitable distance within the same fair weekend. The course deliberately heads into open surroundings, with sections through fields, woods and hollow roads, plus aid stations along the way. The race particularly suits runners who want to combine a warm local atmosphere with more variety than a classic city run.
