The Dorpsloop of Hoevelaken is the running component of the Dorpsdag Hoevelaken, starting and finishing on the Kantermarsweg opposite the Lidl. The morning begins with the youngsters: a KidsRun of 880 metres for children up to nine and a JuniorRun of 1,760 metres for ten to twelve year olds. At eleven o'clock the 5 and the 10 kilometres set off, with the longer distance consisting of two laps of the same course. The field is capped at seven hundred runners. Because the race is part of the village day, there are plenty of spectators along the course and at the finish who came for the festivities anyway.
