The Dirk IV-Loop is the village race of Hoornaar, finishing on the Dirk IV square. The morning begins on that same square with the toddlers' race, in which the very youngest cover one lap accompanied by a parent, followed by the youth race in three age groups running two, three or four laps. In the early afternoon the 10 and the 5 kilometres set off by the church on the Dorpsweg, five minutes apart with the longer distance first. Entry on the day is not possible, so it has to be arranged in advance. The village hall offers changing rooms and showers, and there is food and drink.
