De Hypotheker-Beekloop is run twice a year, in spring and at the end of summer, on the grounds of the GGzE site De Grote Beek in Eindhoven. Walkers set off at quarter to seven over about six kilometres, runners a quarter of an hour later over 4, 8, 12 or 16 kilometres; there is also a one-kilometre kids run. The course consists of paved paths across the wooded estate and is entirely traffic-free — which is the practical reason a care estate works as a venue for this. Along the way you pass historic buildings and animals. Eindhoven Atletiek organises the race, which by now has been going for decades.
