De Boever Trail d'Alost

About the race

The Boever Trail d'Alost sets off from the central square of the municipal park in Aalst and works from long to short: the 32 kilometres goes at nine, the 18 at half past nine and the 8 at ten past ten. That longest route is 85 percent off-road and is the only one to take in the Kravaalbos; the shorter ones stay closer to town, in the Gerstjens, the Sombergembos, the Kluizenbos and the Kapellemeersen. Walkers may start freely between nine and ten on the eight kilometres. For children there are runs of 480 and 1000 metres. The course is fully waymarked and the crossings are marshalled, which makes this a well-tended club trail rather than a self-supported outing.
