City Triathlon Deinze brings triathlon into the centre of Deinze, with a recognisable finish atmosphere on the Grote Markt and the swim held in the River Leie. The race combines two formats: a long distance with 1 km swimming, 75 km cycling and 10 km running, and a sprint with 750 m swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running. Both formats can also be completed as a relay, so individual triathletes and relay teams line up alongside each other. The event feels compact and urban: race office, transition and public areas sit close together, supporters can follow the action nearby and timing is handled through SQM Time. It suits athletes who want a clear city triathlon with plenty of atmosphere.
