Cauberg Trail

About the race

The Cauberg Trail is a hilly trail run in Valkenburg aan de Geul, with distances of 9, 18, 30, 44 and 54 kilometres. Elevation gain rises from around 400 metres on the shortest distances to roughly 1400 on the longest, which makes the step up between them a serious one. Start and finish are at the Shimano Experience Center, which also has changing rooms and medical care; start times are spread between eight and eleven in the morning. The course combines the slopes of Limburg, heathland and natural paths with the distinctive passage through the cave systems of Valkenburg. The routes are fully waymarked, there are several aid stations, runners bring their own cup and live tracking follows them along the way.
