The Businessloop Amersfoort is run on the grounds of the Meridiaan College on the Daam Fockemalaan, by the Stichtse Rotonde. Everything revolves around a 2.5-kilometre lap: twice for the 5, four times for the 10, both starting at half past three in the afternoon. That early hour is no accident, because the real centre of gravity comes afterwards — from five the barbecue and drinks are ready, and they run for two hours. It is emphatically a recreational race for employees, company teams and individual runners of any age; being trained is not a condition. The race-technical side is handled by Trail & Running club Utrechtse Heuvelrug, and the proceeds go to a good cause in Amersfoort every year.
