Brussels Ekiden is a major team marathon in and around King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels. Six runners form one team and cover the marathon distance in the Japanese ekiden format, using the classic split of 5, 10, 5, 10, 5 and 7.195 km. The tasuki exchanges, plus the stadium start and finish, give the race a strong team identity, while the course also passes through Laeken Park. The event is organised by Sportinez and Golazo Sports, with electronic timing and a recognisable Brussels stadium setting. Brussels Ekiden fits companies, clubs and groups of friends looking for a race where cooperation matters at least as much as speed.
