Brandweer TRAIL is a local trail run from the Zottegem fire station, with Vriendenkring Brandweer Zottegem as the organising base. The 2026 edition uses a free start window between 08:30 and 11:00 and offers three distances: 10, 15 and 25 km. The course follows quiet local roads and unpaved passages around Zottegem, keeping the event accessible while giving it clearly more trail character than a standard road race. Starting at the fire station gives the event a recognisable local identity and keeps the organisation easy to understand for participants. Brandweer TRAIL is especially suited to runners who want a compact trail combined with a relaxed, community-focused event.
