The Bornsche Maten Loop is a Friday evening run through and around the Bornsche Maten neighbourhood in Borne. The sixth edition on 12 June 2026 uses a course where paved sections and gravel paths alternate, with start waves for young runners, framerunners and the main distances. The programme lists the Auto & Camper Smelter 1.2 km, the OVM Twente 5.0 km and the Des Huizes Makelaars 10.1 km; on the 5 and 10.1 kilometres there are prizes for the first three women and men. Every finisher receives a medal, and around the race there is a small neighbourhood programme with a bouncy castle, ice-cream cart, marquee and music. That makes the BML both a sporting race and a recognisable local gathering.
