The Biathlon d'Été de Wartet is held on the Voie de la Chasse in Marche-les-Dames and combines running with shooting. There are two distances, 5 and 10 kilometres, both setting off at nine in the morning — so the difference lies not in the start but in how often you have to switch from running to aiming. Each distance has two hundred places and entry is open at any age; anyone who has not signed up in advance can still try on the day while places last. It stays a summery, manageable race in which the shooting is the real challenge.
