Bevrijdingsloop Kampen is a strongly local school and youth running event organised by AV Isala '96 and the Kamper Oranje Vereniging. The Friday 17 April 2026 edition took place at Atletiekbaan Kampen in Sportpark Hagenbroek and commemorated the liberation of Kampen in 1945. The youngest children ran 500 m, pupils aged 7 to 12 and teachers ran 900 m, and the programme also included the 1,609 m Kamper Mile plus a school relay of 5 x 200 m. This is therefore not a classic adult road race, but a large, recognisable school running event with clear local meaning.
