The Bert Timmer Memorial Loop has been held since 2013 by the FRoS running group in the Horsterpark in Duiven, in memory of Bert Timmer. The programme is deliberately aimed at families: alongside the 5 and 10 kilometres there are two children's races, half a kilometre for the very youngest and a full one for children up to twelve. The morning opens with the youth, after which the 10 kilometres sets off and the 5 kilometres closes the day. The race runs entirely on volunteers and the proceeds go to a local good cause every year. Information stands line the course, which makes the event as much a meeting point in Duiven as a race.
