Beregoeie Run

About the race

The Beregoeie Run is held in and around Ouwehands Dierenpark in Rhenen and raises money for bear protection, through the foundation behind the zoo and its partner for bears in need. There are four events: a 1-kilometre kids' run, 5 kilometres walking, 5 kilometres running and 10 kilometres running. The route goes straight through the zoo, past the enclosures, and then heads out into the surrounding area; the 10 kilometres also takes in the Grebbeberg. The start and finish are at the Jungle Plein, so the whole day plays out within the park setting. The emphasis is on moving together for the cause rather than on finishing times.
