The Bavoloop Trailrun is the unpaved sibling of the Bavoloop and leads through the Pannenhoef nature reserve near Rijsbergen. The course consists of winding singletrack and sandy paths through extensive woodland, and because the race falls in midwinter, mud comes with it: this is not a dry summer trail but an outing that is hard on your shoes. There are five distances — 5, 10, 15, 22 and 30 kilometres — and on every one of them you may also start with a dog as a canicrosser. For children up to twelve there is a free kids loop of 1.2 kilometres. Aid stations stand along the way. Stichting St. Bavoloop Rijsbergen organises the event.
