The AZ Oostende Run is an evening race starting and finishing at the Serruys wing of the hospital, by the Koningelaan in Ostend. The course is a 3.25-kilometre loop that you cover once, twice or three times: as a jog, as the short distance of 6.5 kilometres or as the long distance of 9.75 kilometres. The evening opens with two free youth races, over 400 metres for the youngest children, where parents may run along, and over 800 metres for the older ones. The competitive race starts at seven o'clock. The event is organised by Movement vzw and counts towards the Movement Running Criterium, a series of seven races spread across the year.
