Asrendorp

About the race

AsRENdorp is the neighbourhood race of Assendorp, the densely built old district just south of the centre of Zwolle. The five kilometres consists of two 2.5-kilometre laps straight through the district, passing the Assendorperplein several times, where the crowd gathers. The distance is certified by the Dutch athletics federation, so a time set on this course counts. For children there is the KinderREN over its own, shorter route. The event runs on volunteers from the neighbourhood and has the clear character of a street party with a race inside it: the narrow streets fill with spectators and the atmosphere counts for more than the clock.
