The Aareberg Jogging sets off from the Chiro Ourodenberg on the Kerkstraat in Aarschot and is carried by that youth movement's building committee together with Aareberg Brewery. The evening builds up: at six the sweets run, a quarter of an hour later the youth races over 100, 200 and 500 metres by school year, and at half past seven the main distances of 4, 8 and 12 kilometres. The course is flat and largely paved, so it lends itself to holding a pace. You can enter in advance or still on the spot from half past five — the latter costs one euro more. The whole thing stays a club race: small in scale, practical, and firmly rooted in Ourodenberg.
