About the race

De 8 van Langweer is an atmospheric evening run in the Frisian watersports village of Langweer. Adult participants choose between 4 and 8 miles, while children have their own kidsrun with short distances of 400, 600 or 800 metres. The route passes through village streets, along open Frisian views and past characteristic places in and around Langweer. Spectators, music, a shared warm-up and the afterparty on Stevenshoek give the event a clear village-festival feel. De 8 van Langweer is therefore not an anonymous road race, but a compact running evening where sport, Frisian charm and local sociability come together.
