The 3 urenloop of Tropiscala in Overijse is not a race over a fixed distance but over a fixed time: teams of up to eight runners try to complete as many laps as they can in three hours on a short loop of roughly five hundred metres around the IJsevijver. That format shifts the emphasis entirely — what counts is not your pace over ten kilometres but how well a team divides its handovers and how long everyone stays sharp. The last planned edition did not go ahead. Tropiscala now presents itself chiefly as a music and sports festival, so whether the run returns is not clear at present.
