Zevenheuvelentrail

About the race

The Zevenheuvelentrail sets off at Museumpark Orientalis and climbs the ice-pushed ridge near Nijmegen: the Leemkuil, the Duivelsberg, the Keteldal and the Elyseese Velden all lie on the route. By Dutch standards that is a great deal of climbing over few kilometres. There are six distances from 7 to 56 kilometres, with minimum ages rising alongside — ten for the shortest, eighteen from 21 kilometres up. Two of them are championships: the Dutch short trail title is contested over 28 kilometres and the long trail over 56, so those distances draw a different kind of field. In the finish area there are foodtrucks and music.
