Watermolenloop Haaksbergen

About the race

The Watermolenloop is the winter race of AV Haaksbergen, with the start and race office at the clubhouse on the Scholtenhagenweg. The course is a 5.1-kilometre lap run once, twice or three times, giving 5.1, 10.2 or 15.3 kilometres. The route passes the Oostendorper watermill and runs through the Lankheter woods, mixing track, paved road and sandy lanes through the countryside. Runners and sport walkers set off together; a little later the youth and the frame and race runners follow over 3 kilometres. Times are recorded by chip, but the whole set-up stays firmly recreational, with soup afterwards in the clubhouse.
