The VOW Mudrun is an obstacle race on and around Sportpark de Vonders in Zijtaart. There are three distances: an Ukkierun of 1.7 kilometres with seven obstacles for children from four, a 7 kilometres with thirty obstacles and an 11 kilometres with thirty-three. What really shapes the day are the start waves: they follow at quarter-hour intervals and you pick one based on how you want to run it. The morning is for those making a race of it, around midday the family wave sets off and at one o'clock the Ukkies, whose ticket includes one accompanying adult. Mud, water and obstacles wait along the way; you are expected in the warming-up zone ten minutes before your wave.
