The Voorjaarsloop of AV Cialfo is an evening race starting and finishing on the athletics track at Sportpark Wachtelenberg in Epe. The programme descends in length, ten minutes apart each time: at half past seven the 10 English miles sets off, then the 5 English miles and finally the 5 kilometres. Only the first is an official race, with prize money for the best; the other two are prestatielopen. Before that, children up to twelve run their kilometre. The choice of English miles is the hallmark of this race rather than a conversion — the courses are measured over those distances. The whole thing stays a club race on the Veluwe, with the track as its point of departure.
