Virton Urban Trail

About the race

The Virton Urban Trail is an evening trail through the centre of Virton, with the race centre at the Centre Culturel et Sportif. From there the field first walks down to the town together; the actual start follows at seven under the arch on the Place Nestor Outer, for both distances at once. There is a loop of 8 kilometres with 73 metres of climbing and one of 16.1 with 163; the short one is woven into the long one, they meet twice and share the closing kilometres. The route runs over streets, alleys and stairs, past the Saint-Laurent church, the Ruelle des Remparts and the Parc Foncin. The organisers publish no GPS tracks: part of the course crosses private ground that opens for race day only.
