The Triathlon International Haute Meuse is held in Anhée, where the Meuse cuts through the hill country of Namur province. There are two distances: the short one with 500 metres of swimming, 37 kilometres of cycling and 6 kilometres of running, and the long one with 1500 metres, 74 and 18 kilometres. What sets this event apart is the duo format, which the organisers treat as their signature: you form a team with your child, grandchild, partner, colleague or best friend and divide the disciplines between you. Anyone who would rather not swim in open water can switch to the duathlon, which combines running and cycling.
