The Trail Semi-nocturne d'Hastière is an evening trail race in Hastière, on the Meuse in the province of Namur. There are two distances rising clearly in difficulty: 9 kilometres with around 250 metres of climbing and 20 kilometres with around 630. The gun goes early in the evening, first for the short distance and half an hour later for the long one, so the closing part of the race is run as darkness falls. That half-nocturnal character gives the trail both its name and its atmosphere: on the longest distance you will need a light whatever happens. The course uses the steep flanks of the Meuse valley, where the elevation stacks up in short climbs.
