About the race

Trailbeats starts at De Waarde in Oostkamp and leads through the woods and fields around the village. There are six distances, from 6 kilometres to well over 40, so that both someone leaving the tarmac for the first time and the experienced ultra runner can find a place. The terrain is flat — there is no appreciable climbing — which means the challenge lies mainly in the surface and the distance. Every route has its own aid stations, and after the finish there are showers, a guarded bag store and food. From four in the afternoon the aftertrail begins, with DJs and live bands, which makes the event as much a festival day as a race.
