The Trail de la Houppe sets off at Chalet Radar on the D'Hoppe in Flobecq, on the ridge of the Pays des Collines. There are three distances: 16 kilometres with 340 metres of climbing, 24 with 500 and 42 with 880. That is solid climbing for Hainaut, and it comes in short, steep pieces on the flanks of the ridge. The starts run inversely to the length: the marathon at half past eight, the 24 an hour later, the 16 at half past ten. The courses are fully waymarked and run largely on unpaved ground. There are no cups at the aid stations. The event is organised by Hermes Running Events.
