The Trail de la Cochonne sets off from Gives, a village in the municipality of Huy on the hills above the Meuse. There are four distances: 7 kilometres with 250 metres of climbing, 13 kilometres with 450 metres, plus a 23 and a 37 kilometre, the longest being the first to leave in the morning. On the 37 kilometres the aid stations offer sports drink and cola alongside solid food. The entry fee includes parking, a shower, a personalised race number and free access to the concert held on the site afterwards. Times are relayed live and a speaker keeps the crowd at the finish informed.
