The Classic is the summer street race of Tessenderlo and has been going since 1986, which makes it one of the fixtures on the Limburg calendar. The 10 kilometres is run on a Monday evening, in the middle of the Looi Feest fair, so the course passes fairground stalls and barriers packed with supporters. More than three thousand runners turn up, from club athletes fighting for the win to recreational entrants who mainly come for the atmosphere. There are three feed stations along the way. Because the race coincides with the village festival, the evening simply carries on at the fairground after the finish.
