Terhills Trail

About the race

Terhills Trail runs through the Hoge Kempen national park, starting and finishing at the Terhills Cablepark. The course is almost entirely off-road: over and around the spoil heaps, through woods and along paths that demand proper trail shoes. The tenth edition is spread over a full weekend for the first time, with six distances. Saturday sees 58, 44 and 23 kilometres set off in turn, Sunday 39, 29 and 15 kilometres; the two shortest distances start in two waves to keep the narrow sections manageable. New is the ultra of almost sixty kilometres. The organisers are among the few allowed to stage an event in this protected reserve, which makes the route special: plenty of relief, technical passages and quiet stretches of forest.
