The Bommelasloop is Rekreatie Sport Twente's nature run through Buurserzand, the Natura 2000 area between Enschede and Haaksbergen. The 90th edition starts and finishes at Camping Twente on Oude Deldenerweg, with four distances: 7.6 km, 11.7 km, 16 km and 20.5 km. The atmosphere is intentionally simple and recreational: all runners start at 11:00, there is no awards ceremony or medal, and a drink awaits afterwards at the campsite. It is mainly a regional race for runners looking for a quiet, green event without city pressure.
