Strong Viking sets up in Ghent at the Puyenbroeck provincial domain near Wachtebeke, with five distances: 4, 7, 13, 19 and 42 kilometres. That range is exceptionally wide for an obstacle run — from a short introduction to a full marathon distance with obstacles. Along the way you meet fixed Strong Viking elements such as Storm the Castle, the Flying Ragnar and the Fjord Drop, alternating with water and mud sections. There is no obligation at the obstacles: you take on what you can handle, and participants help one another over. The event spans a whole weekend, with a separate Family Run alongside it.
