Raamvallei Duomarathon

About the race

The Raamvallei Duomarathon is done in pairs with a single bike: while one runs, the other rides, and every so many kilometres you swap. Together you cover just over forty-two kilometres through the Raam valley in the Land van Cuijk, largely on unpaved paths. The changeover points are called Smikkelplatskes and sit every five to seven kilometres at estates, farms and historic buildings, with regional food, drink and music — here the breaks are part of the course rather than an interruption of it. Start and finish are at Landgoed de Barendonk, where arrivals are met with a red carpet and champagne. You bring a suitable bike yourself.
