Krekentrail Moerbeke

About the race

The Krekentrail of Joggingclub Moerbeke-Waas owes its name to the creeks of the Waasland: old dead-end side arms of tidal channels that have since vanished. The course follows them through woodland, along marshes and over dikes, with views across the flat country. There are five distances — 7.8, 16, 22.5, 32.5 and 42.2 kilometres — setting off one after another between half past nine and eleven, each with its own time limit. Sixty to eighty percent of every route is unpaved. There are also two youth races. The car park is on the Baggaart Noord beside the E34, signposted from the Moerbeke-Waas exit.
