N70 trail

About the race

The N70 Trail is named after the N70, a waymarked walking route through Berg en Dal which in turn owes its name to 1970, the Dutch Year of Nature Conservation. The race sets off at the Hengstdal in Ubbergen, just outside Nijmegen, and runs a loop of 7 kilometres with 225 metres of climbing; anyone doing 14 or 21 kilometres covers that loop twice or three times. Eighty-five percent is unpaved — sand path, narrow single track and steps — and the relief of the ice-pushed ridge delivers short, steep climbs and fast descents. Each distance has its own entry limit. The event is organised by Running Promotion Gelderland.
