The Marathon Estaimpuis is, despite its name, not a full marathon: the programme consists of a half marathon, a 10 kilometre race and a 10 kilometre walk. The half sets off at half past nine, the 10 kilometres half an hour later; walkers choose their own starting moment between eight and ten. Start and finish are on the Place de Bourgogne in Estaimpuis, close to the French border. The race was set up by a non-profit of marathon runners and addresses experienced runners as much as anyone simply looking for a well laid-out course. Alongside the individual results there is a team challenge in which clubs, companies and associations can take part together.
