LOOP Trail is a trail format in Plainevaux, in the municipality of Neupré, starting from the Maison des Jeunes on Rue du Centre. The basic unit is one loop of about 7.5 km with roughly 200 metres of elevation gain. After each loop there is a new hourly start: runners who return in time can set off again, while those who miss the hour stop there. That gives the event the feel of an accessible take on a backyard or last-one-standing concept, but with defined distance categories. The options run from LOOP 1 or Discovery over 7.5 km to LOOP 3, LOOP 6, LOOP 9 and LOOP 12, around 22.5 km, 45 km, 68 km and 90 km. Aid at each loop and indoor facilities make the format practical, while the climbing keeps every lap meaningful.
