The Lombardsijde Classic Run is held in the coastal village of Lombardsijde on the Belgian national holiday. The course is a flat, fully paved loop of 5.6 kilometres with the start and finish in the village; you cover that loop once, twice or four times, adding up to 5.6, 11.2 or 22.4 kilometres. The longest distance can also be run as a relay, with a team of four each taking one lap. For children there is a free kids' run. Because the course is flat and paved and you pass through the same village repeatedly, the race suits both a fast time and spectators who prefer to stay in one spot.
