The North C Trail sets off from the Eugenie Terlinckplein in Koksijde and heads out into the beach and dunes. There are four distances: 13, 22, 33 and 42 kilometres, with 50 to 220 metres of climbing. Those figures say little about the difficulty — it is loose dune sand that costs the legs, not the climbing. The Hoge Blekker lies along the way, at 33 metres the highest dune in Belgium. By the sea the wind also decides how the day goes, and in March that can go any way. No disposable cups are used, so your own cup or bottle is needed. The event is organised by Trailrun.be.
