The Leemputtenloop is AV Spiridon's spring race near Rijen, with start and finish at the club building on Vijf Eiken. The course is fully paved, yet the setting around Boswachterij Dorst, the clay pits, open fields and the Seterse Bergen gives it a much greener feel than a standard road race. The 2026 event is the 14th edition, offering youth distances of 1 km and 2.5 km alongside the 5 km and 10 km. That makes it suitable for young runners and recreational participants as well as regional racers looking to run fast in a wooded setting.
