The Leemputtenloop is the spring race of the AV Spiridon club near Rijen, starting and finishing at the clubhouse on the Vijf Eiken. The course is fully paved but runs through the Dorst forestry, past the clay pits that give the race its name, across open farmland and along the Seterse Bergen, which makes it feel greener than an ordinary road race. There are three competitive distances of 2.5, 5 and 10 kilometres, plus a 1-kilometre youth race for children up to U12. Each distance counts towards the regional series in its own age category. The clubhouse has showers and changing rooms, and parking on the grounds is free.
