La Thoracique de la Houssière

About the race

La Thoracique de la Houssière is run in the Bois de la Houssière near Braine-le-Comte and owes its name to what the course does to your breathing: the long distance of 12.4 kilometres counts twelve hills and 181 metres of climbing, spread over a route that stays entirely under the trees. Alongside it there is a Mini-Thoracique of 6.4 kilometres. Both set off together at three in the afternoon from the Domaine Mon Plaisir on the allée de la Dinzelle. The course runs over forest paths, one lap per distance. The race counts towards the Challenge Delhalle, the Walloon regularity series, which means that alongside woodland enthusiasts there are runners chasing points.
