There are two distances: 11.5 kilometres with 113 metres of climbing and 5.1 kilometres with 49, both rated normal in difficulty by the circuit. The two starts are a quarter of an hour apart so the fields do not run into each other. The organisers put noticeable effort into everything around the race: changing rooms, showers and a bag drop, a small food stand and a DJ at the finish, and supervised childcare for as long as the race lasts. The course is gently rolling. The youth races leave at the start of the afternoon, after the adults have finished.
